I received my bachelors degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and have been practicing professionally ever since. My design career began in hospitality – designing restaurants and casinos. My interests then shifted to the residential market and for over five years I worked as a designer and project manager for a high-end residential Interior Design firm in Minneapolis.
Things then took a surprising turn with one phone call – an invitation to be a guest designer on HGTV’s “Decorating Cents”. That opportunity led to my current role hosting the new series, “Bath Crashers” on DIY Network.
I am a husband, father, homeowner and truly an avid do-it-yourselfer. I enjoy getting my hands dirty in order to transform a design plan into realty – maximizing my unique set of skills to creating a custom look on a modest budget. My goal is to prove that even in tough economic times, good design can still be achieved with a little know-how and some hard work.
